Thank you very much for visiting the Haggerty School. I sincerely appreciate your adaptability with the schedule. The students thoroughly enjoyed the Pre-show Workshop for Library Lion and are eagerly looking forward to the field trip in January. Your ability to engage and inspire them was truly remarkable, and it was evident that the experience left a lasting impression on everyone involved. We are grateful for your dedication and enthusiasm, which brought the story to life in such a meaningful way.
I am so sorry for missing the second half of the last group. I have a class to go teach. Once again, thank you for your time and passion. We look forward to seeing you at the show!

School Testimonials

“This was helpful for the second graders to get excited and ready for what they are going to see and learn from the performance. It teaches the second graders important background information so the students can better understand the performance.”

Sharing this because it demonstrates how important obtaining the grant was. Little girl speaks with Oren as the class lines up after library. Who is buying the tickets? How much are they? Concerned look on her face. Oren and I assure her that the tickets and transportation are all set and everyone is going to the theater on 1/13 to see The Library Lion. Little girl skips to the line :)

School Testimonials

“The show was a wonderful experience. We were all impressed by the cast, songs, set, story, and puppet design. The story was such a perfect one to focus on at this time- leaving room for age appropriate reflections. I have not seen my students this engaged and enthusiastic at any other point this year. For many of them it was their first live performance and will live in their memory forever. "

The cast was wonderful and the kids were so engaged! Hearing my students laugh and be funny engaged throughout the performance was unforgettable. SO glad we were also about to include our students in the sub-separate classes as they also loved it!”

School Testimonials

I wanted to reach out and personally express my gratitude for the experience my students and I had today at the Library Lion. I was so touched by your remarks at the end of the show, as I too remember hearing "The Flute" as a child and relating to it on a personal level.

I teach special education, and there are many experiences throughout Boston that are not available for my class due to inaccessibility. It means so much to me as an educator that there was so much intentionality in the Library Lion programming, from the pre-show workshop to the support from theater staff that made it possible for my students to not only attend the performance, but to be authentically included. Every single one of my students was so engaged, whether it was through the music, the visuals, the dialogue, or a combination. Seeing the pure joy and wonder on their faces throughout the performance was so special.

School Testimonials

“It was wonderful! The kids kept talking about it all afternoon. I had one student crying so much when the lion was gone during the show I didn't know what to do. He quickly changed into all smiles when the lion returned. Please keep us on the list for future shows. We loved getting the opportunity to take the kids to the theater! I've been teaching in Boston for 24 years and haven't experienced anything as well organized and engaging for kids! SO appropriate and all with an amazing message!
Thank you!
